Get ready… it's chili cook-off time at Flo’s 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off to be held at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park. This benefit is being held to honor our loving friend, sister, mother and aunt, Flo Tempalski who passed away from a Glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor in 2007. All donations and proceeds will benefit the JFK Brain Tumor Center -- a comprehensive program for diagnosis, treatment, and management of brain and spinal tumors -- for the support of education and patient-related services.

On September 18, 2010 we raised over $8000 at Flo’s 1st Annual Chili Cook-off. This year we hope to raise $15,000+ at Flo’s 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off. This is a chili cook-off competition with 20+ chili competitors. The daylong event includes live entertainment, kids tent, an arts & crafts fair, eco-friendly products, local produce, Chinese auction and some of the best chili you will ever find in New Jersey. Setup time for the cook-off begins at 9am with chili sampling starting at noon. Doors open at 11am, and live music begins at 11:30am and runs continuously till 5pm. Chili Award Ceremony at 4:30pm.
The Kidz Zone includes face painting & balloon twisting by Changing Face Designs http://www.changingfacedesigns.com/index.htm, pumpkin painting contest & much more. Ms. Alyson Zazenkowski returns making handmade bracelets and designer pens. A warm thank you for the kindness & the generosity of a private donator which makes The Kidz Zone possible.
